Our commitments.
Our membership of trade associations at German and international level is not based on being allowed to use the association logos for marketing purposes. Rather, we have been actively involved for years in the German Lighting Advertisers Association (Verband Lichtwerber Deutschland e.V.) and also on the board of the European Sign Federation (ESF), of which the German association is a member.
We are actively involved in the development of future-oriented standards - for example, we are currently working on a code of practice as a preliminary stage to a Europe-wide standard for illuminated advertising systems. In order to continue to develop successfully with mutual openness, innovation and high quality standards.
But also to discuss industry-relevant topics in a regular exchange, to receive information on the latest products and to exchange information on national and European market developments - to your advantage!
Lichtwerber Deutschland e.V.
By illuminated advertisers for illuminated advertisers! The lwd stands for a concept of forming a strong association of lighting advertisers and component manufacturers. This concept includes regional meetings, ERFA conferences and an annual conference.
The lwd has an extensive network that currently comprises over 100 companies in Germany and neighboring countries.
The lwd is a member of the European Sign Federation (ESF).

The European Sign Federation (ESF), formerly EVL, is the pan-European association of national trade associations of the illuminated sign industry in Europe. The ESF is an important player in the global illuminated sign industry and, based in Brussels, also influences the shaping of EU legislation. The most important current project is the development of a code of practice as a preliminary stage to a Europe-wide standard for illuminated advertising systems.
International Sign Association
The International Sign Association (ISA) is dedicated to supporting, promoting and improving the sign, graphics and visual communications industry through government advocacy, educational and training programs, technical resources and industry networking events. Our members are manufacturers, users and suppliers of signage. ISA is active in the U.S. market.
ISA is an Associated Member of the European Sign Federation (ESF).
Central Association for Signs and Illuminated Advertising
The Zentralverband Schilder und Lichtreklame (ZVSL) - Bundesinnungsverband der Schilder- und Lichtreklamehersteller - is a trade association for sign and illuminated advertising companies registered in the trade register.
One of its main tasks is to provide training and further education in the sign and illuminated advertising trade. The ZVSL is legally authorized to regulate and monitor training and further education and to set up and support specialist schools and courses.
